HVAC Inside Proposal Estimator

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a HVAC Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial HVAC projects. The successful candidate will have a knowledge of HVAC equipment and parts, along with excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team of technicians, estimators, and project managers.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC repair projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Utilize XOI software for estimate documentation and preparation
• Analyze equipment documentation to align to project scope.
• Identify suitable suppliers and/or subcontractors
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Collaborate with senior estimators to ensure accurate pricing and project planning.
• Stay up to date with industry developments, pricing, and new technologies.
• Order and track materials related to projects priced and accepted.
• Maintain customer data including setting up quotes, tracking accepted proposals, and working with accounting on service order billing.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in HVAC estimating, HVAC supply house pricing, or related field.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Proficient in estimating software (e.g., MS office suite).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
