Hussung Mechanical is providing  the complete mechanical system and construction services for this 1,000,000 s.f. replacement hospital. The overall scope was inclusive of HVAC, Plumbing, and Med Gas serving surgical suites, pre/post operation rooms, radiology center, woman’s clinic and patient care rooms. During peak construction Hussung provided over 150 skilled tradesman while delivering on other key greenfield healthcare projects like the new/renovated Baptist Health Hardin hospital and UofL Medical South Expansion. Critical to the project’s success is Hussung’s management plan which includes a Project Management team and multiple Superintendents. Our quality control plan includes extensive BIM and manpower planning throughout the life of the project and our dedication to off-site prefabrication. Construction on the new VA Medical Center will be completed on-time in 2026 and included:

• 104 beds
• Women’s Treatment Center
• 42,000 s.f. Central utility plant, 6,750 tons of cooling and 83,000 lbs/hr heating capacity in the CUP
• 54 Air Handling Units
